Faculty

Our faculty is the heart and soul of ITMS.  Each of our instructors were former graduates of ITMS.  They are all current Certified Massage Therapists, who bring their experience and skills to the classroom.  We strive to make ITMS a second home for our students, where they feel like they belong.  Our instructors are dedicated to providing an educational program that will transform students into exceptional Certified Massage Therapists.  We are family at ITMS.

Sandra Panzer

Chief Administrative Officer, Owner

CMT, Instructor of Trigger Points, MFR, and Energetic Modalities

Sandy graduated from ITMS and became a Certified Massage Therapist in 2009.  After she graduated, she became an instructor at ITMS, and a few years after that, she became the Director.  In March of 2017, she became the new Owner and CEO of Indiana Therapeutic Massage School.  Sandy puts her heart and soul into this school and into making this experience for the students memorable and transforming.

"I couldn't imagine doing anything else.  ITMS is a family to me.  It's home.  What many students find along their journey at ITMS is that they not only learn the skills they need to become massage therapists, but they learn about themselves.  They transform in ways they never expected.  I am honored to be a part of that journey.  It is my personal mission to make sure every student knows that they can come to me for support, guidance and encouragment. Becoming a massage therapist has given me the opportunity to help people and make them feel better.  There is nothing more rewarding."

Michelle Tramm

NCMT, Instructor of Anatomy and Other Massage Modalities

Michelle graduated from ITMS and became a Certified Massage Therapist in 2001.

"I teach at ITMS, because I love the school.  The school has been a significant part of my life for 16 years.  I helped it grow from its childhood when it was part of IUPUI.  We worked very hard as a team to achieve accreditation so the school could be an independent entity.  Pouring so much of myself into something, makes it a part of me.  As an instructor, I believe learning should be fun and effective.  As a Certified Massage Therapist, I enjoy helping people achieve functionality so they can enjoy life."

Jael Sailor

CMT, Office Administrator, Instructor of Hands On, Anatomy, and              Other Massage Modalities

Jael graduated from ITMS and became a Certified Massage Therapist in 2015.

"I teach at ITMS, because I adore the home-like atmosphere that we provide, and I love watching eureka bulbs spark in students. As an instructor, I provide just enough entertainment so students want to stay interested.  I'm as thorough as possible, so the whole classroom grasps the topics taught.  Both teaching and learning requires patience.  As a Certified Massage Therapist, I provide what clients need, without hurting my body.  I spiritually love each person whom rests on the table."

Marhia Ross

CMT, Instructor of Hands On, Pregnancy, and Other Massage Modalities

Marhia graduated from ITMS and became a Certified Massage Therapist in 2014.

"I teach at ITMS, because it is like home and family to me.  The school had a major impact on my life as a person, and I will forever be grateful for that gift.  As an instructor, I enjoy seeing the spark and excitement of learning a new skill that helps others. Even in adult education, it is important to laugh and have fun.  Massage Therapy is a giving act that practices unconditional love."

Angel Knoll

CMT, Office Administrator, Instructor of Hands On, Physiology, TCM,             and Asian Modalities

Angel graduated from ITMS and became a Certified Massage Therapist in 2008.

"I teach at ITMS, because it is family to me, and because I believe we help transform lives.  It is truly an amazing thing to be a part of.  As an instructor, it is important to me that I help every student find their confidence along this journey.  And I have a knack for making people laugh.  There's no reason why learning can't be fun, too.  As a Certified Massage Therapist, it is important to me that I make each client feel important, cared for, and 100xs better after each session with me.  Well, maybe 10xs better."

Sue Michael

CMT, Instructor of Business

Sue graduated from ITMS and became a Certified Massage Therapist in 2008.

"One of my favorite parts about teaching at ITMS is the diversity of students.  Every class includes people of different types, backgrounds and ages.  As an instructor, I try to make my classes practical and relevent.  My teaching style has been described as a "cafeteria".  Students are presented with a lot of information, so they can choose what is most relevent to them.  There are many opportunities out there and many ways to be successful as a massage therapist.  I was introduced to the world of massage and energy work when I was recovering from cancer treatment several years ago.  Massage made such a difference in my life, that I decided to train to become a Certified Massage Therapist.  I work for a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor and have a private practice where I customize each massage, incorporating Swedish massage, craniosacral therapy, lymph drainage and energetic practices.
