In this two day workshop, you will learn how to do deep tissue work while using less effort and force, making it easier on you as a therapist and less painful for your clients.

While it may seem counterintuitive that you can work deep and use a lighter touch, it's possible by working with your clients body instead of against it, learning techniques to support the body and unwind and melt the tissue.

This mindfulness based massage technique is very gentle, does not require any tools and can be adapted to work on any area of the body. You can easily incorporate it into your existing massage routine. You'll learn and experience mindfulness and awareness exercises to get you into the aligned state of being and presence for the work, exercises to conceptualize the feeling of tissue in its various states as well as hands on practice to apply the massage techniques.

In this weekend workshop you will:
- Learn the philosophy of mindfulness based bodywork and how to apply it to your massage routine
- Heighten your touch sensitivity so that you only have to use minimal pressure
- Learn how to use your intuition and to “listen” through your touch to your clients body
- Discover how to release stored stress, decompress soft and connective tissue and increase range of motion while deepening the client's relaxation experience and increasing your clients awareness of their body.
- Experience and explore how to change your state of being to feel at peace, present and deeply grounded
- Practice the technique on each section of the body and one full body routine
- Learn how to integrate the teachings of Mindfulness Based Massage into a full body massage routine.
You will also receive:
A workbook for your reference to keep reviewing and keep the technique fresh after the workshop
- Free access to download the 20 minute guided awareness exercise taught in class
- 30 days of unlimited email support to ask questions and receive support as you integrate the technique into your practice
